| Ms. Poisson joins the firm as the third generation of her family to practice law in Anson County and the fifth generation to practice law in North Carolina since 1857.
Ms. Poisson was sworn in on November 19th in the Superior Courtroom of the Anson County Court House by The Honorable Fetzer Mills.
 She was joined by her family, including her grandfather, attorney Fred Poisson, Sr., and her father, attorney Fred Poisson, Jr. Friends, other attorneys from the Anson County Bar. and staff from the firm joined Ms. Poisson and her family in celebrating this occasion.
Ms. Poisson focuses her practice on litigation, especially representing persons in workersí compensation and wrongful injury and death matters.
Ms. Poisson earned a B.A. in English at the University of North Carolina. While attending the University of North Carolina School of Law, where she graduated with honors, Ms. Poisson worked for The Honorable Hugh B. Campbell, Jr. at the North Carolina Court of Appeals and The Honorable Michael E. Beale at the Superior Court of Judicial District 20A of the State of North Carolina. As an editor on the North Carolina Law Review, Ms. Poisson solicited professional articles and directed the selection process for Issue 6 of the Review, which addresses developments and issues affecting the legal profession in North Carolina. |
